About the Creator

Dr. Al Weyant-Forbes (he/they) is an EOPS Specialist and Counselor at Riverside City College. He received his Doctor of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California, focusing on innovative ways to increase equitable support for trans, non-binary, and Two Spirit community college students, utilizing a design justice framework.

Originally from Central New York, Al received his master’s degree in higher education leadership and bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from Syracuse University before relocating to California in 2014. Apart from his dedication to education, Al finds joy in spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, and supporting live music and theater.
